ARCHITECT/ AKRAM FAHD ABDULLHAY

  • He was the Principal Architect of the Dubai Police Force from 2006 until 2022. He oversaw several significant projects, from design to project completion. He also revised all Dubai Police building plans and estimated occupancy ratios to make them more realistic, clear, and legible to non-engineers.
  • He worked as an architect with ARENCO Engineering Consultants, from 2004 to 2006, As an engineer, he is responsible for coordinating all the company’s projects. and primarily contributing to the preparation of interior decoration schemes for the Dubai Police Force Headquarter.
  • He was the executive director of a corporation and advertising agency in Dubai from 2002 to 2004.
  • As well as the Executive Director of Palace Engineering Consultants, in Dubai, from 1996 to 2002.
  • He worked at Emirates Contracting Company, from 1993 to 1996, in Dubai.
  • And was the Supervising Architect of Damascus’ General Establishment for Housing, under the Ministry of Housing and Utilities, from 1985-1993.
 
 
  • In addition to the service buildings of this project, he has supervised the construction of a project of 2000 residential villas for the staff of Damascus International Airport. This project also has the benefit of using solar energy to heat its buildings. This project is the first of its type in the world, and he followed a course at UN on how to use renewable energy in buildings.
  • He graduated from Damascus University – Faculty of Architecture in 1985.
  • He obtained many certificates for the specialized classes he has taken in his line of work.
  • Consistently present, Akram took part in all architectural exhibitions held in the UAE.
  • Throughout these years of work, he developed plastic art and participated in various art exhibitions, both local and international, most recent one: 19th asian art biennale 2022.
  • He has a permanent presence and involvement in all art exhibitions conducted in the UAE. He has won various art competitions and he is a member of the Campus Art Dubai team for 2012-2013.
  • In addition, he practiced the hobby of designing jewelry and watches, memorials, industrial designs, artistic publications, and practicing the hobby of music and sports.
  • He earned several honors, awards, and certificates of thanks and appreciation, from his workplace and others.
